This was probably a stupid thing to do...

I had a query letter I had started working on during one of my avoidance/blocks awhile ago. I looked at it tonight- tweaked it some. Mostly I liked it, inasmuch as I like anything I write.

You can probably guess what happened next.

I decided to do some research. Made a list of agents to research, and then did the research.

Got impatient.

It's my beloved geek's fault. I think his ADHD's contagious.

No.

Sounded good though, didn't it? It's my fault. I'm anxious/impatient by nature.

I submitted a query.

Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy?

I meant to wait.

Now I really, really have to get that revision done, just in case the agent is interested in seeing the manuscript.

The problem is, I've reread it and I'm not seeing any major issues.

I didn't even find any minor ones. I'm not actually capable of editing my work quite yet.

I'm still just so happy that I finished writing the book that I'm in a haze.

I expect my first rejection any time now.
